The New Jazz Listener (NJL) introduces jazz to new people who are curious about it
or think the music is boring or too serious. Each episode features a special guest who
brings incredible music they think we must hear. So our playlist? Wow!

Vision

The New Jazz Listener’s effort to create new jazz fans also aspires to help fill audiences at jazz performances, thereby supporting local musicians and presenters around the world.

She is an award-winning and critically acclaimed jazz vocalist and recording artist from Washington, DC, working in some of the most iconic U.S. studios.

With a passion for PR and promotion, changamiré also loves art, fashion and helping the underserved.

MARVIN ANANI

Marvin Anani is a co-founder of The New Jazz Listener. In addition to hosting the show, his responsibilities include the playlists, digital platforms and NJL community engagement.

He is a professional photographer and analog camera fanatic in Denver, CO, capturing breathtaking pictures from his travels and for an impressive list of corporate clients.

Marvin is a music explorer, former Hip Hop dancer, enjoys biking and is the father of the cutest little girl.
